Jose Mourinho and Chelsea- Best Moments

With Jose Mourinho making a Chelsea return perhaps the worst kept secret in Football, the next season is surely going to be the most exciting of recent times. Here's a look at Mourinho's actions in the past, which make him so popular among Chelsea supporters and yet, so hate-able among the rest! I start with his best (alleged) action.

Fitness coach, Rui Faria
The Laundry Basket Allegation:
Mourinho was banned from the sidelines for both legs of a Champions League quarter final against Bayern Munich. The incident happened at Stamford Bridge. His fitness coach, Rui Faria, took charge during the game. Chelsea won the game 4-2.

Two newspapers posted stories which allege that Mourinho was present at the dressing room for pre-match and half time talks. Rui Faria was wearing an oversized woollen cap and kept scratching his ear at regular intervals. Apparently, he was receiving instructions through an earpiece. What's more, he's supposed to have escaped just before full time in a laundry basket!

The Barcelona Prediction:
Before a crucial match against Barcelona, Mourinho not only named his starting eleven in the press conference but went on to name Frank Rijkaard's as well. His prediction turned out to be perfectly correct, and the gamble paid off!

The Medal Tosses:
After winning his second Premier League with Chelsea, he tossed his medal into the crowd. He was awarded a second one soon, which he tossed into the crowd again.
I kept a Premiership one for myself. I have one from the last season, it's the same medal, and I only want one. I cannot keep everything I have.
These medals eventually cost GBP 21k and 16k in auctions.

Just shut up:
During the 2005 Carling Cup final against Liverpool (which Chelsea went on to win), he was constantly taunted by the Liverpool supporters, especially after they took the lead. This was his reaction when Chelsea got the equalizer. Chelsea eventually went on to win the match and he later clarified it as a gesture towards the press, but the Liverpool fans know deep down who it was meant for!

The Self Proclaimed Special One:
Please don't call me arrogant, but I'm European champion and I think I'm a special one.
This is exactly what Mourinho said during his first press conference as a Chelsea manager. He has been called the Special one ever since.

The Wenger Comment:
I think he is one of these people who is a voyeur. He likes to watch other people. There are some guys who, when they are at home, have a big telescope to see what happens in other families. He speaks, speaks, speaks about Chelsea.
This is what he had say on Wenger. After he threatened legal action, Mourinho retracted the statement.

The Old Trafford Run:
Before he joined Chelsea, his Porto knocked Manchester United out of the 03-04 Champions League. He sprinted to celebrate with his players and Fergie must have known that an adversary had arrived.

The Eggs Comparison:
It is omelettes and eggs. No eggs - no omelettes! It depends on the quality of the eggs. In the supermarket you have class one, two or class three eggs and some are more expensive than others and some give you better omelettes. So when the class one eggs are in Waitrose and you cannot go there, you have a problem.
He was complaining about the reduction of the transfer budget.

In short, every single day would be exciting as a Chelsea supporter once the Special One is back.
